Sometime around June 1st, I will be loading up the RV for a 8 week round trip trek to Alaska. The adventure will totally be a pleasure trip and I intend to shoot a lot of photos. I have decided to buy a new camera body and will upgrade my Sony A100 to the A700. That is not Sonys latest but the A700 seems to be proven as a good solid camera. My route going out will enter Canada in North Dakota and return through Montana. I will be passing near several of my dA friends so let me ask for a note from you if you want to get together for lunch or to just meet.
Is asking to meet another member of dA an unusual request? I recently exchanged notes with a dA member who was going to spend a few days here in Florida near where I am staying. I understood we agreed to meet so I gave her my phone number so she could call me. But the call never came. No note, no apology, no nothing. I have not heard from her since. It seems odd to me because she spoke of how weird it seemed that dA members seemed unwilling to meet.....then she did what she criticized. Hypocrite? Maybe.
Anyway, I am putting the invitation out to anyone that wants to meet for lunch or to hang out for awhile. I extend the invitation to any guest you would like to bring. I think it would be fun.
It is my hope to shoot at least 10,000 photos and target a lot of wildlife. I may also gather the courage to approach a few individuals for spontaneous portraits. We will see.
